Digital asset platforms

Careful engineering for teams building digital asset products.

Application, integration and back-office software for platforms in the digital asset space. Regulatory status and authorisations remain the client's responsibility.

Scope and boundaries

  • We build software

Web and mobile applications, back-office tools and integrations for companies in this sector.

  • We do not give legal or investment advice

Licensing, registration and the rules for your markets must be confirmed with your own counsel.

  • We do not promote tokens or investments

We do not market financial products or make claims about returns.

  • We assess fit early

We ask about your authorisation status and target markets, and may decline projects accordingly.

Engineering challenges in digital asset products

  • External chains and providers

Node providers, custody services and exchanges can be delayed, reorganise or fail, and the software has to cope.

  • Precision and reconciliation

Amounts with many decimals and several asset types demand careful numeric handling and ledger discipline.

  • Key and secret handling

Mistakes with credentials or signing keys are costly, so custody architecture is decided early.

  • Operations need visibility

Support and risk teams need tools to see transaction state and take controlled action.

Technical considerations we plan for

  • Exact numeric handling

Asset amounts stored in integer base units with explicit decimals, never floating point.

  • Idempotent transaction processing

Deposits, withdrawals and webhooks are processed once, with replays safe.

  • Confirmation and reorg handling

Transaction states reflect confirmation depth and can reverse when the chain does.

  • Custody provider integration

We integrate with qualified custody and wallet providers rather than inventing key management.

  • Operator console

Review queues, limits, approvals and an audit trail for sensitive actions.

How an engagement begins

  1. Eligibility conversation

We confirm your authorisation position, markets and the component to be built.

  2. Define architecture and custody approach

Providers, key handling and failure behaviour are agreed in writing.

  3. Build with test networks

Development uses test networks and sandboxes before any live integration.

  4. Security review and handover

Your security team or an independent reviewer examines the system before it goes live.

Typical timeline for a defined component

Typical durations for this kind of work. Real timing depends on scope, integrations and how quickly decisions are made.

  1. Eligibility and architecture

    2 to 4 weeks

    Position, scope and technical approach.

  2. Build on test networks

    6 to 16 weeks

Depends on providers and asset types.

  3. Review and launch preparation

    3 to 6 weeks

    Independent review and staged release.

Questions about digital asset work

Do you advise on regulation or licensing?

No. Requirements differ by country and activity, so confirm them with your counsel. We build software to the controls your advisers specify.

Do you build tokens or smart contracts?

Our focus is the application, integration and operations layers. Smart-contract development and audits are specialised and should be reviewed independently. We can integrate with contracts you or others have built.

Will you take payment in tokens or equity?

No. We work on a normal commercial basis with fees agreed in advance.
